About

I have been working in the field of chemical dependency for the past 13 years, with experience in both outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care.  Being born and raised in Roseville, California, I proudly offer services to individuals and families in Placer County and the greater Sacramento area.  As I have personally struggled with addiction, I practice, as well as promote, living a lifestyle of recovery. I use a trauma informed approach to treating addiction, helping people understand how their life history has left an imprint on who and how they are today. Providing individual counseling, and family counseling contribute in the overall goal of combating this complex issue. I attended Intercoast College, specializing in chemical dependency counseling, and have successfully obtained my CADC II, the gold standard in the field of addiction. I am passionate about recovery and strive to make a positive impact on individuals and families struggling with chemical dependency.

Indivdual Counseling

My approach to individual counseling is to provide a safe place for someone to openly share themselves. When struggling with a substance abuse issue there is often a lot of shame experienced due to past behaviors, failed relationships, and the stigmas associated with addiction. Through

development of the relationship, my goal is to explore how an individual's substance abuse has impacted their lives and how to develop improved skills to meet their needs.

Family counseling

Being the family member of someone who struggles with substance abuse can be a very painful, confusing and difficult process. Family counseling is essential to creating wellness, both for the person that is abusing substances as well as for the family members. In order for a family to reach a better quality of life, there are many challenges that must be addressed such as enabling, codependency and resentment.  Only through the treatment of the family as a whole can the best outcome be reached.

Group Therapy

This service is designed towards teens and young adult males who have decided to pursue a lifestyle of sobriety and want to continue their growth. Group therapy provides a safe and secure environment for individuals to practice healthy communication, constructive confrontation, and vulnerability with their peers, while assisting in the development of their relational skills.  This model simulates a social setting that promotes the growth of these skills.
